Company Description AECOM is seeking a Senior BIM Modeller – Structures, Data Center to be based in South Africa’s Enterprise Capabilities office in Cape Town. Job Description Here is what you will be doing: Experienced user of Autodesk Revit (Buildings) or Bentley OpenBuildings / MicroStation capable of modeling and producing drawings with limited supervision. Checks and coordinates project BIM models and deliverables to ensure they meet client requirements, industry standards, and the BIM Execution Plan. Verifies completeness and accuracy of work before review by a senior engineer. Follows coordination strategy and reporting using Navisworks and other software, supporting the team through the delivery phase. Adopts creative and innovative solutions to assigned tasks, conducts appropriate research, and develops supporting documentation. Assists with management and coordination of all incoming and outgoing model and drawing information. Manages projects in BIM360. Organizes own and others’ work to meet deadlines. Keeps abreast of the latest software and techniques to increase productivity. Qualifications Ability to fulfil all duties and responsibilities. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Good technical knowledge of practice line discipline. Understanding of design processes and interfaces between design disciplines. Computational skills – Dynamo, Grasshopper, Python. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Autodesk BIM 360, Navisworks, and presentation software within a BIM environment. Develops BIM content based on BIM modelling standards and the BIM Execution Plan. Knowledge of industry BIM standards, processes, and general approaches. Experience setting up configuration and administration of projects for the discipline in Revit and AutoCAD. Technical knowledge of concrete, steelwork, and reinforcement 3D modelling. Minimum 5 years’ experience with relevant Revit modelling. BIM qualification / diploma / bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and understand delivery and client satisfaction. Strong analytical, literacy, and numerical skills. Good commercial awareness and risk‑management skills.
