About The Role Risk at Revolut operates across all functions, products, and regions to monitor front‑line performance and ensure the business operates safely. They’re among the first to be involved in new initiatives, from tech to customer support. We’re looking for an Enterprise Risk Manager to implement cross‑functional elements of the risk management framework in South Africa, including governance structures, maintenance of RAS, and the monitoring and reporting of daily risk exposures. You’ll be a key member of the local risk function and custodian of the enterprise risk framework, in line with regulatory expectations and group standards. What You’ll Be Doing Localising global operational risk frameworks to ensure compliance with South African legislation Supporting the design and implementation of risk management frameworks Setting and monitoring relevant risk appetites and risk strategies Providing second‑line oversight, and delivering the required level of assurance across key risk areas Preparing regulatory and executive risk reporting Overseeing the management of critical risk types, including cyber and information security, outsourcing, and resilience Driving consistent application of operational risk standards locally Partnering with stakeholders to ensure risk practices remain aligned with group expectations and regulatory requirements What You’ll Need 8+ years of experience in risk management Solid stakeholder management, project management, and problem‑solving skills Expertise in designing and implementing ERM frameworks in a financial services environment, ideally in banking and/or payments Knowledge of the regulatory landscape affecting risk management in financial services Great technology and data literacy, with the ability to leverage data to generate meaningful business and risk insights Deep regulatory knowledge Excellent report‑writing and analytical skills Nice to have Experience in banking in South Africa Great research skills Knowledge of SQL Building a global financial super app isn’t enough.
