The Junior Accountant will support the retail CFO with the following functions: Preparationof License and Marketing Fee calculations Weeklyreview of store turnovers, average invoice values and obtaining commentary fromthe area managers ManagementReport Preparation Assistancewith month end closing processes Invoicingto the stores - Leasing, Projects, IT, Marketing Accountingup to trial balance for Execuspecs including VAT return preparation Assistanceon various automation projects such as Accounts Payable Automation usingOptical Character Recognition Software Storerebate calculations Necessary Skills: Self-Management - Attention todetail with ability to see the bigger picture. Self-driven, disciplined andaccountable. Ability to define and analyse a problem, gather necessaryinformation, and draw valid conclusions for problem resolution. Welcoming ofconstructive criticism. Technical – Knowledge of accountingprinciples. Technological – Working knowledgeof MS Office Suite. Advanced proficiency in Excel. Ability to become proficientin organization’s various systems. Interpersonal - Ability to work in a small office environment as part of a team. Ability topositively address customer service concerns. Ability to exercise good judgmentand make sound decisions regarding customer inquiries. Language - Ability to read, write, and speak fluently inEnglish. Educational/ExperientialRequirements: UniversityDegree or equivalent experience. 2+ years ofexperience in an accounting environment. Experience inaccounts payable and accounts receivable.
