They are seeking an Advisory Manager to join their Johannesburg office in a client‑facing role. This position offers exposure to a wide variety of challenging advisory assignments across multiple sectors. The successful candidate will work alongside senior professionals and will be involved in delivering high‑quality analysis, insights, and recommendations to clients operating in rapidly changing and high‑pressure environments. Role Overview The Advisory Manager will play a key role in the planning and execution of financial and operational advisory engagements. The role requires strong analytical skills, sound commercial judgement, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams while interacting with senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Act as a core member of engagement teams on complex financial and operational advisory assignments Perform detailed financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision‑making Review, challenge, and assess financial forecasts, budgets, and underlying assumptions Develop and analyse short‑term and medium‑term cash flow projections Assess business performance and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, liquidity, and overall outcomes Build simplified financial scenarios to evaluate alternative strategic options Conduct financial analysis, data analytics, and market research to support recommendations Engage with client stakeholders including executives, shareholders, lenders, advisors, and internal teams Manage multiple tasks and workstreams to ensure engagements are delivered on time and to a high standard Prepare clear, well‑structured, client‑ready reports and presentations Present analysis and conclusions to clients and other stakeholders as required Review commercial agreements at a high level to identify key considerations and risks Lead specific aspects of engagements where appropriate, with guidance from senior team members Support, mentor, and review the work of junior team members Contribute to the development of internal processes, tools, and best‑practice approaches Assist with business development activities through relationship building and professional networking Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in financial advisory, consulting, corporate finance, or related fields Strong ability to analyse complex financial information and communicate clear, practical insights Advanced financial modelling, analytical, and report‑writing skills High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Experience working in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and engagement requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills The Opportunity This role offers the chance to take on meaningful responsibility within a respected advisory practice, working on high‑impact assignments alongside experienced professionals.
