About the Role Our client, a leading financial services provider in South Africa, is looking for a dynamic and driven Broker Consultant to join their team. This role is ideal for a “pioneer” with a hunger for excellence and a talent for building lasting partner relationships to drive business growth. Key Responsibilities Relationship Management: Proactively source, on-board, and grow the client’s “share of wallet” within a panel of brokers and external partners. Sales Support: Enhance partner relationships through continuous motivational sales support and recognition. Customer Service: Act as the first point of contact to resolve broker queries and complaints while identifying opportunities for new business or retention. Performance Tracking: Monitor panel performance, including penetration and ensuring lapse/NTU ratios do not exceed 40%. Data & Insights: Collate and analyze data using the POL360 system to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Reporting: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on broker contacts and panel performance. Training & Compliance: Ensure partners are up to date with training, products, and processes to drive sales and meet statutory requirements. Operational Risk: Manage and mitigate reputational, legislative, and fraud risks by ensuring sound business practices within your panel. Qualifications and Requirements Education & Qualifications: Grade 12 / SAQA Accredited Equivalent is essential. A BCom or similar qualification is highly advantageous. Compliance with Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) requirements, including FAIS recognized qualifications and Regulatory Examinations (RE), according to your DOFA. Experience: 3–4 years of experience in sales and distribution within long-term insurance is essential. Experience in marketing or sales within banking, financial, or business services is an advantage. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, specifically for Excel trend analysis. Strong verbal and written communication skills to formulate plans and provide technical guidance.
