Job Summary The Multimedia Designer combines strong graphic design, video production, and PowerPoint design skills to deliver compelling visual stories to diverse audiences across multiple mediums. The role collaborates with colleagues to create high‑quality designs, videos, and presentations used across a wide range of initiatives, including demand generation campaigns, thought leadership content, internal communications, and global brand activations. The Designer works within the Creative Studio and partners with Thought Leadership, Brand, Campaign, and regional marketing teams, ensuring all multimedia output is on‑brand, visually differentiated, and executed to a consistently high standard across all formats and channels. Success is measured by quality, consistency, timeliness of creative output, and effectiveness of multimedia assets in supporting campaign, content, and communications objectives. Responsibilities Graphic Design Design and produce a wide range of graphic materials, including reports, digital and print advertisements, infographics, social media graphics, demand generation campaign assets, event materials, and internal communication assets. Ensure all design output adheres to MRI’s visual identity guidelines, maintaining brand consistency across all touchpoints. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project objectives and deliver creative concepts that meet strategic goals. Work on global and regional campaigns, ensuring localisation and cultural relevance where required. Support the development of scalable design templates and reusable asset systems that enable consistent execution across teams. Stay current on design trends, tools, and best practices, bringing fresh ideas to the Creative Studio. Video Production Manage all aspects of video creation, including scripting support, editing, motion graphics, and distribution for solution overviews, on‑demand webinar content, customer testimonials, internal culture and brand videos, and external promotional content. Create motion graphics and animated content to support campaigns, thought leadership, and digital channels. Edit and produce video assets optimized for multiple platforms and formats, including web, social media, and event screens. Manage video asset libraries and ensure all content is accessible, organized, and aligned to brand standards. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external production partners to deliver video projects on time and to brief. Stay up to date on video production trends, formats, and platform requirements to continuously improve output quality. PowerPoint Design & Sales Enablement Design and produce high‑quality PowerPoint decks for executive, sales, event, and corporate communications, focusing on visual quality and brand alignment rather than content authoring. Develop and maintain a suite of branded PowerPoint templates and slide libraries that enable consistent, self‑service presentation creation across the business. Collaborate with executive, sales, and marketing stakeholders to translate provided content and messaging into visually compelling, well‑structured decks. Ensure all presentation materials are aligned to brand standards and reflect a premium, differentiated visual identity. Provide guidance to internal teams on template usage and best practices to support consistent, on‑brand output. Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Process Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while maintaining high quality across all output types. Collaborate with the broader Creative Studio team, including other designers and production specialists, to deliver integrated creative output. Partner with Thought Leadership, Campaign, Social Media, and regional teams to ensure multimedia assets support broader content and campaign strategies. Participate in creative briefing and review processes, incorporating feedback efficiently and maintaining clear communication on project status. Support UI/UX design teams with graphic assets for web and mobile interfaces where required. Contribute to the maintenance of digital asset libraries, ensuring assets are accessible and organized for use across teams. Required Skills and Abilities 3+ years of experience in graphic design, video production, and presentation design, with a portfolio demonstrating capability across all three disciplines. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects); experience with Lottie animation is a plus. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint with a demonstrated ability to design polished, brand‑aligned decks and reusable template systems; focus on design execution, not content development. Strong working knowledge of current video production and post‑production practices, including motion graphics and animation. Proven track record of using visual communication to convey brand messaging to varied audiences across multiple formats. Highly organized and able to manage a varied workload across concurrent projects in a fast‑paced, global environment. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high‑quality, on‑brand output consistently. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to take and interpret creative direction effectively. Comfortable working as part of a distributed, multicultural global team. Experience with Canva or equivalent self‑service design tools an advantage. Knowledge of web and social media asset specifications and optimisation practices. B2B or enterprise software/technology sector experience an advantage. Location and Working Hours The role is based in Johannesburg, South Africa and supports global teams across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas. Working hours align with UK business hours (Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30 BST/GMT) to support alignment with EMEA teams. The position operates a hybrid working model with up to three days of working from home per week and requires flexibility to accommodate time‑zone overlap.
