Job Description AECOM South Africa is looking for a Technologist – Highways to support local and international projects. The role focuses on design, preparation and management of road designs and drawings using CAD and 3D modelling software. The position is based in Cape Town and operates in a flexible hybrid work arrangement. Responsibilities Preparation and management of geometric design models and drawings for roads and related structures. Preparation and management of road geometric designs and drawings, reports, bill of quantities. 3D design and modelling of roads and associated infrastructure. Apply the AECOM Quality Management System (QMS) in all work. Knowledge of Geometric Design Codes, Drainage Design Codes and other relevant standards is a benefit. Participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements, explain or defend work. Participate in the development and preparation of bids and proposals. Qualifications Degree in Civil Engineering. High competency and specialist design and 3D modelling of roads and associated infrastructure. Minimum of four years’ experience in the design and modelling of roads and associated infrastructure. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, Open Roads. Good knowledge of the SANRAL and Western Cape Provincial Governments design procedures is a benefit. Experience working for Transport Authority clients in the USA, Canada and Australia is considered favourable. Experience using common data environments Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM360) and Bentley ProjectWise.
