We are looking for a driven and client-focused Senior Retirement Fund Consultant to join our Johannesburg team. You will work with a small, dynamic team, gaining exposure to both strategic and technical aspects of retirement fund consulting, and building deep expertise while making a tangible impact on client outcomes. Key Responsibilities Retirement Fund Consulting: Advise clients on the design and optimisation of retirement fund structures, including umbrella and standalone funds, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and employee needs. Fund Design and Strategy: Contribute to structuring funds, including eligibility, contribution rates, tax efficiency, and benefit design to achieve balanced, sustainable outcomes. Investment Consulting Support: Must have a sound understanding of investment principles and cost structures as you will be working with the investment consulting team in guiding clients in setting investment objectives, developing strategies, selecting asset managers, and monitoring fund performance. Service Provider Coordination: Support appointment and ongoing management of administrators, investment consultants, and risk benefit providers, ensuring merit-based decisions. Member Engagement: Facilitate financial education workshops, helping members understand their benefits, retirement outcomes, and broader financial wellbeing. Regulatory and Industry Awareness: Stay informed on legislative changes, governance requirements, and industry developments. Holistic Benefits Context: Understand retirement benefits within the broader employee benefits framework, including group risk benefits such as life cover and disability protection. Requirements Matric (Grade 12) is required. Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning Successful completion of the RE5 Regulatory Exam. Compliance with FSCA Fit and Proper requirements. Must have completed your CFP® designation. Minimum of 5 years Employee Benefits experience In addition to speaking English and Afrikaans the incumbent must be able to communicate in a number of ethnic languages Own reliable transport. South African citizenship. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
