Salary : CTC R - provident fund and medical insurance Minimum Qualifications Location: George and East London (2 positions) Main purpose of the Job To manage the day to day cargo operations by allocating resources to the movement of freight within the Air Cargo network and maintain an on-time performance to ensure a safe and efficient operations. May be required to work overtime; Available to travel nationally when required; Drivers Licence and own transport Behavioural: Professional and positive appearance and attitude; Customer Service; Self-motivated; Time management; Attention to detail Skills: Administrative skills; Planning skills; Communication skills Customer and Supplier Service Maintain a helpful, positive and friendly manner when dealing with customers by providing an optimal customer experience in order to drive up customer satisfaction. Keep clients informed of their cargo whereabouts by maintaining open and frequent communications with branches and divisions to drive customer satisfaction and enhance the customer experience. Engage with relevant departments to address client concerns, rebuilding and improving client experience and maintaining a positive and professional relationship. Conduct daily security briefings on each shift and submit all discussion points with a list of attendees to senior management. Identify areas of non-compliance and enforce corrective measures to comply with occupational health and safety regulations, cargo policies and procedures. Identify and report all suspicious, undeclared and mis-declared cargo in relation to Dangerous Goods regulations and cargo security standards. Report any suspicious acts immediately to law enforcement to address deviations from agreed security regulations standards. Check and monitor that staff display Permits and wear Personal Protective Equipment at all times to ensure compliance to Airport Authority standards. Promote awareness of hazards and steer clear of demarcated areas by using signs and signals to keep employees and visitors aware of hazardous and restricted areas. Check that the evacuation signage and documents are clearly visible in the demarcated areas. Report all non-conformances on IQSMS system on a daily basis before end of shift to ensure corrective actions are implemented. Investigate non-conformance incidents and implement preventative measures based on recommendations from the Quality department and/or Senior Management. Equipment Serviceability Inspections Ensure inspections are carried out daily to determine the effectiveness of the equipment used in the operation and ensure that all used equipment does not pose any risk of injury to staff or clients. Manage and ensure that inspection checklists for warehouse equipment are completed daily and identify the total of serviceable and unserviceable items, then feed back to Management for any further action. Engage with relevant service providers to obtain quotations. Hand over quotations to the Branch Administrator to raise Purchase Orders, follow up for timely completion of the process. Report any unserviceable electronic equipment to Superior and/or IT department immediately so that they can be attended to. People Management Compile monthly rosters to ensure that all employees are rostered according to the Department of Labour’s regulated hours and basic employment conditions. Submit monthly rosters to senior management and ensure all applications for leave and shift changes are communicated. Schedule employees for regulated training to ensure that they are compliant with aviation regulations. Conduct checks before each shift to ensure that all personnel are at their assigned stations as rostered. Keep track of employee time and attendance to ensure punctuality for scheduled shifts. Maintain employee discipline by ensuring that discipline is based on the company’s disciplinary code. Delegate and manage operational workers in accordance with established standards, promptly resolving any deviations. Cargo and General Operations Conduct daily briefings with staff to highlight expectations for the day. Compile a daily shift report and forward it to seniors to inform day-to-day operational performance. Submit monthly rosters to senior management for pre-planning purposes. Monitor that cargo from customers is processed correctly and meets all Security and Acceptance criteria by monitoring staff. Check that staff are accepting cargo in line with set standards (correct weights, dimensions, 100% screening and X-ray prior movement). Monitor that discrepancies are handled promptly and according to procedure; report discrepancies to clients and management and submit corrective actions to prevent complaints. Check that Flight Files are completed with all regulated documentation required for audits. Conduct investigations for customer complaints and airlines to provide a complete report with findings and recommendations. Manage the handover process between shifts to maintain smooth operation. Maintain the general cleanliness of the branch, including acceptance areas, back operations, and exterior areas. #J-18808-Ljbffr
