Role Overview We are seeking a qualified and experienced Installation Electrician / Foreman (Yellow Card) to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for skilled electrical installation, maintenance, and fault‑finding on electrical systems, with a strong focus on solar and renewable energy. This role carries the authority to issue Certificates of Compliance (CoC) for single and three phase systems, and requires the ability to lead and supervise a site team. All electrical work must be executed per approved design packs under MIE general control and in compliance with the Electrical Installations Regulations, 2009. Key Responsibilities Conduct site inspections, participate in the design process, and maintain accurate administrative records daily. Install DC/AC wiring, solar components, inverters, batteries, protection devices, and distribution boards per approved design packs. Perform continuity and insulation resistance (IR) tests; ensure layout, quality, and labelling conform to the design package. Carry out scheduled maintenance, identify and repair electrical faults, and document all activities on the day of work. Perform final hardware installation, connection, and testing of PV systems, AC/DC, DCs, and supporting components. Complete software set‑up, system settings, online links, and supplier integration for commissioned systems. Conduct all tests for single and three phase CoC; issue CoC only on satisfactory test outcomes. Allocate daily tasks, conduct toolbox talks, and report daily progress to MIE / Project Manager. Complete job cards, inspection reports, vehicle checklists, and all documentation accurately and on time. Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional service delivery. Lead, mentor, and support team members; ensure adherence to company policies. Comply with OHS Act and ATSolar safety requirements; ensure correct PPE usage at all times.
