Lexdan Select is assisting a company in the Liquid Natural Gas industry with their search for a Business Development Specialist. Based in Johannesburg. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute business development strategies to drive growth within LNG trading, storage, distribution, and end-user markets. Identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and commercial agreements. Lead commercial negotiations and assist in structuring LNG supply, offtake, storage, and partnership contracts. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, regulators, port authorities, contractors, and financial institutions. Support project development activities by ensuring commercial viability and contributing to permitting, funding, and execution milestones. Conduct market research and monitor industry, regulatory, and policy developments impacting LNG infrastructure and pricing. Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility and market positioning. Prepare business development reports, manage sales pipelines, track KPIs, and contribute to strategic and financial planning. Key Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Energy, Finance, or equivalent industry experience. 8+ years' experience in business development, commercial, or project-focused roles within the energy, oil & gas, or infrastructure sectors. Proven track record of originating, negotiating, and closing large-scale commercial deals. Strong understanding of LNG markets, supply chains, and regulatory frameworks across South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.
