Overview Seeking an experienced Draughtsperson to support the delivery of high-quality electrical and multidisciplinary designs for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You’ll play a key role in transforming engineering concepts into clear, compliant, and installation-ready drawings. Key Responsibilities Produce accurate and professional electrical drawings, including schematics, chassis layouts, general arrangement drawings, and P&IDs. Implement project-specific design requirements in line with engineering specifications and safety standards. Ensure all drawings comply with PCI Africa drafting and quality standards. Maintain and manage drawing data within Autodesk Vault to support efficient 3D layouts and equipment design. Interface with electrical, mechanical, and process engineering disciplines to ensure functional and coordinated designs. Support the mechanical draughting team where required. Assist engineers by developing a clear understanding of project scope and technical requirements. Identify potential technical or installation risks and highlight these to the project team. Protect and maintain organizational drawing and design knowledge. Actively contribute to team collaboration and knowledge sharing. Support and follow ISO 9001:2015 processes and internal quality procedures. Qualifications Draughting Diploma or equivalent qualification. Minimum 5 years’ practical draughting experience in the water or wastewater industry. Advanced proficiency in Autodesk software packages, including Inventor. Strong attention to detail and commitment to drawing accuracy and consistency. Good understanding of electrical design principles and installation requirements. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
