Job Description: Senior Management Accountant (Group) Job Title Reports to Group Financial Controller / Finance Director / CFO Direct Reports Management Accountants / Assistant Accountants (regional or entity-based) Finance Analysts (if applicable) Job Purpose To lead the production, consolidation, and analysis of management accounts across a multi-entity, international group, providing accurate, timely, and commercially relevant financial insight to support strategic decision‑making. The role ensures financial control, consistency, and performance visibility across operations in the UK, US, India, and South Africa , while supporting growth, scalability, and compliance. Key Responsibilities 1. Group Management Reporting Lead monthly management accounts preparation and consolidation across all entities Ensure timely and accurate reporting in line with group deadlines Produce: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Variance analysis (actual vs budget vs forecast) Standardise reporting formats across regions 2. Financial Analysis & Business Partnering Provide insightful financial analysis to senior leadership Identify: Margin improvements Partner with: Operational teams Regional leads Commercial functions Support decision‑making with clear, data‑driven recommendations 3. Budgeting & Forecasting Lead group‑wide: Rolling forecasts Work with regional stakeholders to ensure realistic and aligned assumptions Monitor performance against forecasts and recommend corrective actions 4. Multi‑Currency & International Accounting Manage multi‑currency reporting and FX exposure Ensure correct application of: Exchange rates Intercompany eliminations Understand and align reporting across: UK GAAP / IFRS US GAAP (where applicable) Coordinate with local finance teams on statutory differences 5. Intercompany & Consolidation Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations Ensure timely elimination and accurate consolidation Resolve cross‑entity discrepancies Maintain strong financial controls across all entities Ensure compliance with: Local regulations (UK, US, India, South Africa) Group policies and procedures Support internal and external audits 7. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management Monitor and forecast group cash flow Debtors Creditors Inventory (if relevant) Provide recommendations to improve liquidity 8. Systems & Process Improvement Drive improvements in: Reporting systems Automation Support ERP implementation or optimisation (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Xero, Dynamics) Reduce manual processes and increase efficiency Support and mentor regional finance teams Ensure consistent standards across all locations Act as a key link between group finance and local teams 10.
