A data-driven organisation specialising in Analytics services and solutions is seeking an analytical and commercially minded Intermediate BI Analyst to join a growing data team. This role goes beyond traditional project-based analysis, requiring close collaboration with business stakeholders to manage frequent ad‑hoc requests and translate data into clear, actionable insights. Responsibilities Engage directly with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and analytical questions Analyse large and complex datasets using SQL to provide clear, data‑driven answers Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports Respond to ad‑hoc data queries with accuracy and speed Translate business problems into structured analytical approaches Work with data warehouse structures to source, transform, and validate data Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity in reporting outputs Support ongoing optimisation of reporting processes and data models Contribute to continuous improvement of the BI environment Qualifications & Experience 3-5 years' experience in a BI Analyst or Data Analyst role Strong SQL skills (query optimisation, joins, aggregations, complex data interrogation) Solid experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI Experience working with data warehouses and structured data models Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities Ability to manage multiple ad‑hoc requests in a fast‑paced environment Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills The reference number for this position is NG61077, a Contract, Hybrid position based in Cape Town offering a rate of up to R480 per hour negotiable on experience and ability.
