Job Description: Evaluate task scope and define design requirements Prepare and maintain bills of materials and related 3D assemblies Create 3D parts and 2D drawings in line with supplier and regulatory standards Manage and maintain accurate product data within PDM/PLM systems Liaise with international suppliers and customers on design requirements Conduct concept and design reviews to ensure feasibility and compliance Support day-to-day customer engineering activities Develop creative and cost-effective design solutions Collaborate with purchasing and materials teams on part design and sourcing Work closely with analysis, test, and manufacturing teams to optimise designs Ensure designs meet relevant regulations, standards, and compliance requirements Continuously develop skills in CAD and engineering systems Skills & Experience: Minimum 3+ years mechanical design experience Strong 3D CAD experience Exposure to PDM/PLM systems advantageous Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate into design solutions Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Good communication and stakeholder engagement ability Ability to work independently and within a team environment Willingness to travel internationally (USA) Qualification: Minimum BEng / BSc / in Mechanical Engineering Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
