This role is where RAN design meets real network execution. Youll take design intent, translate it into configuration, and ensure it is enforced across a live multi-vendor environment. This is not a monitoring role. Youll be working directly with OSS systems, policies, and automation, shaping how the network behaves at scale. Key Responsibilities Baseline to Configuration Translate RAN design baseline documents into implementable configuration policies. Policy Management Configure and maintain baseline policies within policy-driven platforms . OSS Implementation Execute configuration changes directly within Ericsson or Nokia OSS/NMS environments . Network Deployment Support datafill and parameter deployment across 2G, 4G, and 5G networks. Automation Development Develop and maintain Python-based automation workflows for configuration enforcement. Closed Loop Systems Configure and support closed loop automation mechanisms . Compliance & Optimisation Perform baseline compliance checks and drive remediation across the network. Collaboration Work closely with RAN design teams and support operational issue resolution. Minimum Requirements Qualification Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Required Experience Strong experience in RAN Configuration Management Hands-on experience with Ericsson or Nokia OSS tools Deep understanding of 4G and 5G network parameters Experience with datafill and live network changes Working knowledge of SQL and Python Exposure to scripting or automation tools Preferred Experience Multi-vendor RAN exposure (Ericsson + Nokia ) Exposure to SON / SMO / O-RAN concepts Experience with policy-driven automation platforms Managed services or customer-facing environments What Matters in This Role You understand how design translates into real network behaviour Youre comfortable working directly in OSS environments You think in terms of automation, scale, and repeatability You can move between hands-on execution and technical decision-making Youre detail-driven, small parameter changes matter Additional Requirements Reliable fibre internet connection Backup power for remote work Location South Africa (Hybrid, Johannesburg or Cape Town) Application If you meet the requirements and want to work at the level where RAN configuration, policy, and automation intersect , we encourage you to apply.
