About the Opportunity Our client is a specialised service provider operating within the vehicle tracking, risk management, and incident monitoring environment . The organisation delivers real-time fleet visibility, risk alert monitoring, and incident response coordination to clients across logistics and security-driven industries. Through advanced tracking systems and structured reporting, the business plays a critical role in improving fleet safety, reducing operational risk, and supporting proactive decision-making. Purpose of the Role The Tracking Controller will be responsible for real-time monitoring of vehicle movements, risk alerts, and tracking data , ensuring that all incidents are accurately identified, logged, and escalated where necessary. This role forms part of a high-performance control room environment , requiring strong attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and confidence in working with Excel and tracking systems. Key Responsibilities Real-Time Monitoring & Control Monitor vehicle tracking systems and ensure continuous visibility of fleet movements Identify and respond to high-risk alerts such as:Panic alerts Route deviations / unauthorised stops Speeding and driver behaviour alerts System irregularities (e.g. device disconnects) Escalate incidents in line with operational and security protocols Incident Management & Reporting Log, track, and manage incidents accurately in real time Maintain detailed tracking records and audit trails Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports using Excel Analyse trends and highlight risk patterns or recurring issues System & Data Management Ensure tracking systems and platforms are operational and updated Perform routine checks to ensure data integrity and system accuracy Maintain organised and accurate records of all monitored activity Communication & Coordination Liaise with internal teams, drivers, and stakeholders Provide timely updates on incidents and operational status Support coordinated response to incidents when required Shift-Based Operations Work 12-hour rotational shifts (day and night) Maintain high levels of focus and performance in a control room environment Minimum Requirements Grade 12 / Matric (essential) Strong Microsoft Excel skills (working with spreadsheets, data capturing, and reporting) Ability and willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts (day and night) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good communication skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, operational environment Advantageous Requirements Previous experience in:Tracking / control room environments Fleet monitoring or logistics operations Security or incident management environments PSIRA registration or security grading qualification Exposure to vehicle tracking or telematics systems Key Skills Vehicle tracking, Fleet monitoring, Incident management, Risk analysis, Microsoft Excel, Data reporting, Attention to detail, Communication, Problem solving, Time management Package & Working Conditions Salary: R12,000 per month Shift-based role (12-hour shifts) Rotational day and night shifts Office / control room environment Ideal Candidate Profile Highly disciplined and detail-oriented Comfortable working with systems and data for extended periods Calm and composed under pressure Reliable and consistent in a shift environment Strong sense of responsibility and accountability Important Note This role requires strong Excel capability and the ability to work in a structured, high-focus environment.
