Sales Manager (Hospitality Industry Focus) Stellenbosch: My client, a leading supplier of fresh produce to the hospitality industry, is seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Representative to join their team. This role is strictly focused on candidates with proven experience in selling fresh consumables to hotels, restaurants, and other hospitality venues. The ideal applicant will bring not only a successful sales track record but also a deep understanding of the industry’s requirements, current trends, and customer expectations. Purpose of the Role The role is focused on nurturing and expanding existing client relationships while actively pursuing new business to contribute to the continued growth of the organisation. We are specifically looking for a candidate with previous experience selling fresh consumables to hotels, restaurants, and other hospitality venues, combined with strong insight into the industry’s requirements, trends and customer expectations. This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate with previous experience in a chef or F&B role, combined with a strong customer‑ and sales‑centric approach. Key Responsibilities Manage and grow relationships with existing customers, delivering exceptional service Identify, approach, and secure new business opportunities Arrange and attend a minimum of 3 client appointments per day Proactively contact clients to generate orders and maintain consistent sales flow Handle incoming client queries and orders telephonically in a professional and efficient manner Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales targets Profile customers and generate high‑quality leads Maintain accurate records of sales activity and client communication Assist with operational requirements, including occasional support with order preparation, as needed Criteria Proven sales track record in fresh consumables to the hotel and hospitality industry Strong knowledge of hospitality sector dynamics and client service expectations Fluent in spoken and written English and Afrikaans Self‑motivated, proactive, and detail‑oriented Strong organisational and time management skills Confident working independently and managing priorities Excellent computer literacy Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport Remuneration and Benefits Basic market related salary Commission structure: 3% on sales exceeding R400 000 per month (commission payable on revenue received) Performance‑based incentives Company cell phone provided 100L fuel per calendar month #J-18808-Ljbffr
