Purpose of the Role As a Researcher, you will play a key role in driving the success of our retained executive search projects. You’ll take the lead on search strategy, market mapping, candidate identification, and acquisition, working closely with the delivery and leadership teams to identify and engage high‑impact talent for our clients. Alongside this, you’ll support and occasionally lead a variety of market research, business intelligence, and marketing projects—both to enhance client delivery and to contribute to FIFTEEN WEST’s own growth and strategic initiatives. You will report directly to Lisa Walder and work closely with the wider team to manage the research pipeline, promote collaboration, and champion the achievements and capacity of the research function. Key Responsibilities Lead on market mapping, identifying target companies, candidate pools, and relevant talent ecosystems for each search. Use our customised CRM system to manage, update, and document all candidate conversations, records, and actions. Source and identify top‑tier candidates using online platforms (e.g. LinkedIn and specialist databases) for active and future mandates. Conduct qualification calls with potential candidates to assess suitability, motivation, and alignment with client requirements. Support Consultants with the day‑to‑day management of live searches, ensuring consistent delivery of strong candidate shortlists. Conduct structured candidate profiling interviews using the company’s proven interview framework, ensuring all data is accurately captured. Lead or support market research and competitive intelligence projects, both client‑facing and internal. Create professional marketing documents and project materials, including candidate briefs, role profiles, and research summaries. Proactively generate client leads through CV profiling, reference checking, and candidate conversations. Manage CV preparation and administrative duties as required. About You A confident and engaging communicator who enjoys building relationships with people at all levels. Experienced or confident in market mapping and understanding industry structures. Skilled in conducting qualification and screening calls, able to assess candidate motivations, experience, and fit. Strong written communication skills, with the ability to create professional marketing materials and project documentation. Highly organised with strong project management skills and meticulous attention to detail. Proactive, self‑motivated, and capable of managing your own time effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Open to doing US hours. Curious and growth‑minded, always eager to learn and develop. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and quick to learn new tools.
