SENET is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our EPCM project team. The successful candidate is responsible for leading process design and execution on EPCM projects, ensuring that all process deliverables are technically sound, delivered on time and within budget and are aligned with client requirements and operational performance targets. Qualifications B-Tech Degree Chemical/ Metallurgical Engineering Beng/BSc in Chemical/ Metallurgical Engineering BSc Honours Applied Science Metallurgy (advantageous) ECSA registration (PrEng or working toward it preferred) Experience Minimum 10 year's total in Industry Minimum 2 years in Plant Operations or Commissioning Minimum 2 years in R & D or Design Experience in within EPC/EPCM environments Experience in mining or mineral processing projects (advantageous) The Role Understanding of client requirements, Understanding of client constraints, Understand test work results inputs into process design criteria in conjunction with Lead Engineer and test work engineer Interpret and understanding of defined process/plant Scope of Work Check and implement Process Design Criteria Adopt defined equipment titling and numbers Provide input into Materials of Construction Schedule Provide discipline input into process equipment specifications Generate and check mass, water and energy balance calculations Understand defined battery limits, interact with outside battery limit parties. Generate Operating and Process Control Philosophy Produce Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Interact with the Process Drawing Office to ensure on time and quality delivery of all process drawings. Generate Functional Specifications Specify utility and reagent requirements. Develop sampling and metallurgical accounting philosophy Generate Mechanical Equipment List to Rev00 Generate and check Equipment Duty Sheets Determine preliminary motor and power requirements for major equipment Progress and Develop Line and Valve Lists received from Process DO to standard for project use. Assist in writing and collating documents and study reports Assist with client meetings and presentations Prepare relevant documentation for HAZOP studies, attend HAZOP studies Generate and check OPEX calculations and OPEX report section. Provide input to instrument data sheets and instrument schedules Liaise with the Engineering Drawing Office on all process aspects. Ensure Engineering D.O. conforms to process specifications. Ensure plant operational and maintenance access achieved during model reviews. Vet pipe GA's and routes, valves, drains during model reviews. Input to all process equipment adjudications. Provide input into all Mimics Liaise with computer control designers, attend Pre-FAT and FAT sessions Input to project activities, man hour budgets, programme Technical support in writing operating manual Technical support in writing training manual Skills Required Technical and general fluency in English in verbal and written communication. Computer literacy in MS Office suite Manage man-hour budget and report to GM Processing on deviations. Ability to prioritise own work and plan activities Proposals, studies or project work may be required to be a Lead Process Engineer with a process co-ordination role.
