Sales Engineer About the Role We are a leading multinational provider of factory and process automation solutions, serving industries including automotive, pharmaceuticals, electronics, food and beverage, chemicals, and manufacturing. We are seeking a Sales Engineer based in Bedfordview, Johannesburg, to join our growing team.Role Overview This is a full-time position responsible for providing technical support, customer engagement, sales development, and exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving business growth and developing long-term customer relationships.Key Responsibilities Drive geographic and industrial sales development and identify new business opportunities within the automation sector. Manage complex sales processes, develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, and deliver professional sales presentations to customers. Support key account development by collaborating with leadership to establish and implement account strategies and plans. Develop the technical expertise required to conduct preliminary technical discussions and presentations with customers. Manage existing customer accounts while generating new business through prospecting, lead follow-up, and effective territory management. Prepare quotations, maintain CRM records, and submit regular territory and sales reports. Plan and conduct regular customer visits to strengthen relationships and increase market visibility. Review customer engagement activities and sales progress with management on a weekly basis. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Desired Skills Ability to work independently and responsibly within a small team environment. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Requirements Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related qualification. Minimum of 23 years' experience in technical sales within the industrial automation industry. Valid driver's license.
