Business Analyst (Banking - Onboarding & Compliance) Location: South Africa Industry: Financial Services / Banking Contract/Perm: Open Qualifications: BCom / IT Degree Certifications: CBAP Certification Experience: 7+ Years Key Responsibilities Lead analysis and optimisation of customer onboarding workflows across banking channels. Perform detailed process mapping , gap analysis, and requirements gathering for end-to-end onboarding processes. Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards, including POPIA , KYC , BR-05 , BR-08 , and process optimisation standards BO-1 and BO-3 . Collaborate with cross-functional teams - operations, risk, compliance, product, and technology to deliver accurate business requirements. Support Agile delivery teams by defining user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing backlogs. Drive process re-engineering initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and improve customer experience. Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and documentation of current and future-state process flows. Provide accurate reporting, traceability matrices, and support UAT/QA teams during testing cycles. Minimum Requirements BCom or IT degree (or equivalent). CBAP certification is essential. 7+ years' experience as a Business Analyst within banking or financial services. Strong background in onboarding process re-engineering , compliance, and regulatory alignment. Expertise in POPIA, KYC, BR-05, BR-08, BO-1, BO-3 and other banking standards. Skilled in Agile BA practices including user stories, backlog refinement, and working with Scrum teams. Advanced process modelling and mapping skills (Visio, BPMN, or similar).
