What youll be doing Manage employee relations matters across the business, ensuring compliance with labour legislation, company policies, and disciplinary procedures. Lead and coordinate disciplinary hearings, investigations, grievances, incapacity processes, and dispute resolution matters. Represent the company at CCMA proceedings , including conciliation and arbitration hearings, and manage all related case preparation and documentation. Liaise and engage with relevant Bargaining Councils regarding disputes, compliance matters, and employee relations issues. Provide expert guidance and support to management on labour law, disciplinary action, misconduct, poor performance, and operational requirements processes. Ensure compliance with the Labour Relations Act (LRA), Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), Employment Equity Act (EEA), and other applicable labour legislation. Draft and review disciplinary notices, charge sheets, hearing outcomes, settlement agreements, and other employee relations documentation. Monitor and mitigate employee relations risks through proactive engagement and effective conflict resolution. Support line management with the implementation and interpretation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation, and reports related to employee relations matters. Assist with Employment Equity initiatives, audits, and compliance reporting requirements. Support HR projects and initiatives while managing employee relations functions for a workforce of approximately 1,000 employees. What youll need 2 4+ years proven HR generalist experience, ideally within services in cleaning, or housekeeping industries Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR practices Experience supporting a large workforce in a fast-paced operational environment will be advantageous Relevant HR qualification (Diploma or Degree preferred) Excellent communication skills in English (Afrikaans or other African languages advantageous) Valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle Willingness to travel for business purposes when required Clear criminal record Strong organisational, problem-solving, and conflict management skills Ability to work independently while supporting multiple stakeholders High attention to detail and a solutions-focused mindset What is in it for you?
