ProStaffSelect are in search of a skilled and experienced RECEPTION / FRONT DESK & FRONT OFFICE DUTY MANAGER to take on responsibilities for daily operations and to oversee Front Desk Reception, Concierge, Guest Relations, Admin & Finance. Requirements At least 4–5 years relevant experience within a luxury hotel environment (other industries will not be considered). Hotel / Hospitality management qualification or similar managerial training is essential. Valid SA driver’s license essential. Fully bilingual in English & Afrikaans (Afrikaans mother tongue ideally). PMS front office systems skills such as OPERA is essential. Skills Required Knowledge of front‑of‑house, financial, and billing procedures. Excellent communication skills with guests and fellow staff members. Computer literate: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Pastel. Good organizational and interpersonal skills. Strong problem‑solving skills; ability to make decisions quickly, adapt to changing circumstances, and find effective solutions to issues that may arise. Lateral thinking ability with effective leadership and management skills; a team player who leads by example. Exceptional attention to detail and levels of accuracy; someone who takes initiative. A candidate who is able to lead others, motivate staff and change staff attitudes. Strong personality and negotiation skills. Professional, courteous, hospitable to guests. Must be able to cope under pressure to meet guests’ needs. Honest, proactive, and driven personality.
