Starting Date Jan/Feb 2026 Job Requirements Remote work (preferably located in the Northern Suburbs, Cape Town) 1-3 years Digital Marketing experience (SEO & AEO) Technical SEO & AEO Own and execute technical SEO strategies across multiple client websites Conduct in-depth technical SEO audits (site health, crawlability, indexing, rendering, Core Web Vitals, schema, page speed) Identify and resolve technical SEO issues in collaboration with developers (WordPress, WooCommerce, custom builds) Implement and manage structured data/schema markup to improve search visibility and AI understanding Featured snippets People Also Ask Voice search readiness AI-driven search results (Google SGE, ChatGPT-style responses) Ensure websites are optimised for AI-based discovery, entity recognition, and semantic search Perform keyword research with a strong focus on intent, entities, and question-based queries Optimise site architecture, internal linking, and content hierarchy for search and AI readability Monitor algorithm updates and emerging AI search trends, proactively adjusting strategies Track, analyse, and report on SEO and AEO performance using tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc. Translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for clients and internal teams Supporting SEO Responsibilities Collaborate with content, copywriting, and account management teams to ensure SEO best practices are embedded across deliverables Provide SEO guidance for: Website builds and migrations Landing pages and conversion‑focused pages Blog and content strategies Assist with on‑page optimisation where needed (metadata, headings, content structure) Support ongoing SEO retainers and once‑off SEO tasks as required Maintain SEO documentation, best‑practice guidelines, and internal processes General Responsibilities Manage multiple client accounts and priorities in a fast‑paced agency environment Accurately track and log time against projects and retainers Communicate proactively with account managers regarding timelines, risks, and opportunities Deliver work that aligns with client goals, budgets, and performance expectations Participate in internal strategy discussions and knowledge‑sharing sessions Take ownership of tasks from start to finish, with a strong focus on outcomes and efficiency Maintain a high standard of professionalism in all client and team interactions Continuously upskill and stay informed on SEO, AEO, and digital marketing trends Personality Traits The two most important traits for this role are curiosity and a strong willingness to learn.
