Location: Midrand Job Type: Full‑time Salary: Market related Start Date: 01st July 2026 Role Overview The Laboratory Scientist Biobank is primarily responsible for cord blood and cord tissue receiving, processing, testing and storage. Qualifications, Experience & Skills Qualifications & Experience BSc (Hons) or BTech in cell & molecular biology, biomedical technology, or biotechnology or related. Previous laboratory experience required. Flow cytometry experience advantageous. Experience working in a cleanroom environment or similar advantageous. Skills & Attributes Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs and quality processes. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and online systems. Key Responsibilities Process and store cord blood, cord tissue, and adipose samples in accordance with SOPs and quality standards. Perform laboratory testing including flow cytometry, sterility, viability, and ABO testing. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and cleanroom facilities. Support quality control processes, audits, validations, and laboratory compliance activities. Maintain accurate laboratory records, documentation, and stock control. Work collaboratively within the laboratory team to ensure efficient operations and high quality standards. Why Join Us?
