You will play a critical role in analysing product costs, managing inventory accuracy, improving margins, and supporting operational decision-making across the business.The successful candidate will work closely with finance, operations, procurement, and production teams to ensure accurate costing, inventory control, and financial visibility throughout the organisation.Based in City Deep, JohannesburgKey Responsibilities:Manage product costing, standard costing, and cost analysis processesMaintain and analyse Bills of Materials (BOMs)Monitor and reconcile Work-in-Progress (WIP) balancesPerform inventory valuations and stock reconciliationsAnalyse manufacturing, operational, and project-related cost variancesPrepare monthly costing reports and management informationSupport budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysisIdentify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficienciesPartner with operational teams to improve financial performanceAssist with month-end reporting, reconciliations, and audit requirementsJob Experience and Skills Required:BCom Accounting, Finance, or related qualificationCIMA qualification or studies towards CIMA highly advantageous4 to 5 years' Cost Accounting experienceStrong experience within manufacturing, retail, construction, or similar operational environmentsProven exposure to Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Work-in-Progress (WIP) accounting is non-negotiableStrong understanding of inventory management and stock controlExperience with costing models, variance analysis, and profitability reportingAdvanced Excel skills essentialStrong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into business decisionsApply now!For more exciting Chartered Accountant or General Finance vacancies, please visit:
