To identify and pursue investment opportunities that drive growth in the Bank’s deposit portfolio. This includes analysing client needs, acquiring new clients, and delivering tailored investment solutions. Position the Bank as the client’s primary financial partner by offering competitive, innovative products that align with their financial objectives. Responsibilities Drive an increase in average balance of specific portfolio of liabilities as defined in the Financial Performance Report of the Business. Generate net interest income growth for the year per budget by preparing and processing interest rate proposals to segments in the group. Establish, align, and manage target and budget goals while ensuring effective control of costs for a range of functional areas to increase cost efficiency. Manage early redemption to minimise losses to the business and group. Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers’ expectations through proactive, innovative, and appropriate solutions. Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external parties to support the sales strategy. Maintain expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices, and provide proactive advice and solutions to stakeholders. Provide sales support efficiencies and services to ensure retention of clients by ensuring timely renewal of all existing investments and negotiating special rates. Maximise cross‑sell opportunities in the business portfolio and strengthen client relationships. Increase investment products and services to existing commercial customers. Translate strategies into actionable goals and execute relevant projects/initiatives aligned to strategic objectives with specific performance measures and control systems to track progress. Liaise with business clients and their representatives to explore investment preferences and appetite for risk. Manage and discuss investment fund options to maximise return on client investments. Self‑source new business. Hold complex conversations with business clients and their representatives in high net‑worth segments. Monitor changes in legislation, regulations, initiatives, and relevant industry practices. Ensure drafting and implementation of appropriate interventions. Ensure compliance with audit requirements. Track, control, and influence sales activities to increase sales efficiencies of the team. Monitor and record key industry trends that can impact current and future product offerings. Improve business decisions by providing accurate and reliable business intelligence together with trend and data analysis. Manage own development to increase competencies. Plan and manage performance, skills development, employment equity, talent and culture of the team to improve innovation, achieve efficiencies, and increase effectiveness. Qualifications 3–5 years of banking experience (preferred). RE 5 class of business (advantageous). NQF 6 or 7 banking‑related qualification (essential). Experience in fund investments (advantageous).
