A leading Short?Term Insurance provider is seeking an experienced Claims Specialist to assess, validate, and settle motor claims efficiently and accurately. The role requires strong technical expertise, excellent service delivery, and the ability to make independent settlement decisions. Minimum Requirements Matric (Grade 12) NQF4: Short?Term Insurance (150 credits) RE5 – essential Class of Business (Personal & Commercial Lines) – advantageous FAIS?compliant and able to work unsupervised 5+ years’ experience in Personal, Commercial & AGRI claims Experience with HCV, Fleet & AGRI claims – advantageous TIAL/System A experience – advantageous Strong time?management and attention to detail Key Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills Confident decision?making and conflict management Solutions?driven, resilient, and able to work under pressure High accuracy, professionalism, and service orientation Key Responsibilities Validate and assess claims according to guidelines and SOPs Appoint service providers and authorise/settle claims Reject claims where applicable Process payments within required turnaround times Assist clients and brokers via phone and email Handle complaints and liaise with service providers, brokers, and clients
