Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting: Prepare and report on the financial position and controls of the company, including full-cycle financial statements and budgets. Cost Accounting: Perform a dedicated cost accounting function, analyzing and reporting on cost variances and production parameters. Compliance & Tax: Ensure full compliance with IFRS, GAAP, the Companies Act, and all relevant tax legislation (VAT, Income Tax). Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, including overseeing payroll, creditors, and marketing accounting specialists. Strategic Oversight: Monitor company performance against budgets and provide critical management information for board-level decision-making. Minimum Requirements Education: B.Com Honours degree (minimum). Experience: 6–8 years of experience in financial management within a mid-size company. At least 5 years in a leadership/middle management role. Sector Specific: Proven experience specifically in Mining or Manufacturing is essential (consulting or banking backgrounds will not be considered). Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of financial principles, corporate governance, and production/plant processes.
