ROLE OVERVIEW This is a front-office, deal execution role . From day one, the successful candidate will carry a deal budget and be directly responsible for originating, structuring, and closing transactions . We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Analyst with strong analytical capabilities and a clear ambition to operate in private markets and capital advisory . This role offers immediate exposure to live transactions , meaningful responsibility, and direct interaction with institutional investors and corporate clients . The ideal candidate combines analytical strength with commercial instinct — someone who is comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, negotiating outcomes, and driving transactions to close. CANDIDATE PROFILE Self-starter with high levels of ownership, persistence, and accountability Commercially minded , with the ability to understand and position investment opportunities Strong interpersonal presence and confidence in client and investor interactions Proven leadership ability , with experience managing people, initiatives, or outcomes High emotional intelligence (EQ) , with the ability to influence, motivate, and develop others Comfortable operating in a high-performance, deal-driven environment KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Analyse companies and projects across sectors, with a focus on investment and bankability assessment Build and maintain financial models (DCF, LBO, and transaction scenarios) Prepare investment memoranda, teasers, and investor materials Structure and execute transactions end-to-end , including due diligence and negotiation Engage directly with institutional investors to secure and close mandates Conduct market research and investor mapping across Europe and Africa Support client engagement and capital raising processes from origination through to execution QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Essential Bachelor’s degree (BCom, BBusSci, or equivalent) Prior experience in finance, advisory, or a transaction-oriented role Demonstrated leadership experience Strong analytical and communication skills High energy, resilience, and ability to perform under pressure Commercial mindset with an interest in capital markets Advantageous Experience in investment banking, private credit/equity, or corporate finance Exposure to African or European markets CFA or postgraduate finance qualification Strong financial modelling capability Existing institutional investor relationships Interest in ESG and alternative assets WHAT WE OFFER Immediate transaction responsibility - not a support role Exposure to live capital raises across debt and equity Direct engagement with institutional investors and senior decision-makers Steep learning curve in a high-performance, entrepreneurial environment Opportunity to build a career in private markets and capital advisory #J-18808-Ljbffr
