Reporting to the Financial Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the month-end and year-end reporting processes.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and process monthly journals Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the general ledger Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable controls Prepare and submit VAT returns Assist with statutory and tax compliance requirements Maintain the fixed asset register and process asset transactions Support month-end and year-end close processes Assist with external and internal audits Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies and procedures Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function Job Experience & Skills Required:Completed SAIPA or equivalent articles 3+ years of accounting experience advantageous BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification Strong financial accounting and reconciliation experience Sound understanding of VAT and statutory compliance Advanced Excel skills High attention to detail and strong analytical ability Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment will be advantageous Apply now!
