Position Materials Manager (Engineering Stores) Responsibilities Manage the maintenance, repair, and operating supplies, service requirements, and store resources. Review, develop, and implement all relevant procedures, policies, and work instructions, monitoring and ensuring compliance. Review the resource requirements and responsibilities continuously to maximise the efficiency of the team. Develop, implement, and maintain the engineering spares stock maintenance according to the required standards. Determine, manage, and report on the material management operational fixed cost budget. Identify and dispose of redundant materials as per the mill's policies and procedures. Implement an effective rotable material and equipment management system. Monitor the issuing and receiving of spares as well as repairs of rotable material and equipment. Manage the stores' facilities, structures, and assets, ensuring continuous operations are completed safely and comply with legal requirements. Monitor and control the completion and receipt of quality control documentation for all rotable material and equipment as per mill procedures. Qualifications NQF Level 6 qualification in a related or engineering field. A trade test in an engineering discipline. 10 years of relevant engineering experience within heavy industry, with working knowledge of SAP (MM).
