Solutions Architect – Data Platforms (Fabric & Databricks) Hybrid Role | Enterprise Consulting Environment | Full-Time (Gauteng, KZN or CT) Salary: Market Related A leading technology and consulting organisation is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect – Data Platforms to design and deliver modern enterprise data platforms using Microsoft Fabric and Databricks technologies. This role combines hands‑on architecture delivery, strategic client engagement, and pre‑sales solution design within a fast‑paced consulting environment. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to shape scalable, secure, and modern data platform solutions for enterprise clients. Key Responsibilities Enterprise Data Platform Architecture Design end-to-end lakehouse and enterprise data platform solutions Architect modern ingestion frameworks including batch, streaming, APIs, and CDC patterns Define medallion architecture implementations and analytics consumption models Design semantic layers and enterprise reporting structures Cloud & Infrastructure Architect Azure and AWS-based data platform environments Define networking, identity, and enterprise security models Design Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform and related tooling Establish CI/CD and DevOps patterns for enterprise data platforms Security & Governance Design secure role‑based access models Define enterprise governance and data classification frameworks Implement scalable governance and cataloguing strategies Ensure alignment with enterprise security and compliance standards Integration & Solution Delivery Design integrations across ERP, CRM, SaaS, APIs, and enterprise systems Architect real‑time and event‑driven data solutions Support enterprise integration and interoperability initiatives Client Engagement & Pre‑Sales Participate in discovery workshops and client strategy sessions Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions Contribute to proposals, RFP responses, estimations, and solution presentations Present architectural recommendations to senior stakeholders and executive teams Internal Capability Development Contribute to architecture standards and reusable frameworks Support technical enablement and mentoring within engineering teams Assist with internal innovation and best practice initiatives Requirements Experience 8–12+ years’ experience designing enterprise data solutions Strong experience designing lakehouse architectures Extensive Microsoft Fabric and/or Databricks experience Strong Azure cloud platform experience (AWS advantageous) Experience designing secure enterprise data platforms Strong stakeholder engagement and consulting experience Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices Technical Skills Microsoft Fabric Databricks Azure Cloud Services AWS (advantageous) Terraform / Infrastructure-as-Code Enterprise integration patterns Data governance and security frameworks CI/CD and DevOps practices Preferred Background Consulting or professional services experience Pre-sales and RFP exposure Experience engaging with enterprise‑level clients Knowledge of modern medallion architecture frameworks What’s on Offer Opportunity to work on cutting‑edge enterprise data platform initiatives Exposure to modern cloud, lakehouse, and AI‑driven architectures Blend of technical architecture, strategy, and client engagement Collaborative and innovative consulting environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
