Scrum Master – E-Commerce & Digital Delivery Cape Town | Hybrid / Onsite Contract Opportunity About The Role We are looking for a highly capable Scrum Master with a strong technical foundation and proven e-commerce delivery experience to join a fast‑paced retail and digital commerce environment. This role will support Agile delivery teams across web, mobile, omni‑channel, integrations, APIs, payments, fulfilment, and customer experience platforms. The successful candidate will have the ability to bridge the gap between business and technology teams while driving Agile best practices and delivery excellence. You will work closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Developers, QA teams, UX/UI teams, and business stakeholders to facilitate efficient delivery across complex digital initiatives. Key Responsibilities Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Daily Stand‑ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives Drive Agile delivery across e‑commerce and digital transformation initiatives Work closely with engineering teams, technical leads, architects, and DevOps teams to support delivery execution Remove delivery impediments and proactively manage risks, dependencies, and blockers Coordinate delivery across APIs, integrations, microservices, web, and mobile platforms Promote Agile maturity, continuous improvement, and high‑performing team culture Ensure alignment between product roadmaps, sprint objectives, and technical delivery plans Support release planning, deployment coordination, and delivery governance processes Track delivery metrics, sprint performance, velocity, burn‑downs, and reporting dashboards Facilitate communication between technical and non‑technical stakeholders Drive collaboration across digital, operations, product, engineering, and support teams Minimum Requirements 5+ years' experience as a Scrum Master in technology‑driven environments Proven experience delivering projects within retail, e‑commerce, digital commerce, or omni‑channel environments Strong understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid delivery models Solid technical background working with software development and engineering teams Experience supporting delivery across APIs, integrations, cloud‑based platforms, and distributed systems Exposure to modern software delivery practices including CI/CD and DevOps environments Experience managing multiple Agile squads and cross‑functional delivery streams Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills Ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced, high‑volume retail delivery environments Technical Experience Experience working within software engineering and digital product delivery environments Good understanding of: APIs and system integrations Microservices architecture Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices: Web and mobile application delivery Digital commerce platforms and customer‑facing systems Data flows, system dependencies, and release coordination Exposure to technologies and platforms such as: REST APIs Kubernetes / Docker (advantageous) Azure DevOps / Jira / Confluence E‑commerce and omni‑channel platforms Payment, loyalty, fulfilment, or order management systems Qualifications Degree or Diploma in: Computer Science Information Systems Software Engineering Information Technology Engineering or related technical field Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent Agile certification required Additional Agile / SAFe / DevOps certifications advantageous Preferred Experience Retail or FMCG industry experience Experience delivering omni‑channel initiatives such as: Click & Collect Loyalty integration Online ordering Returns & exchanges Stock visibility & fulfilment optimisation Exposure to scaled Agile delivery environments Experience working with technical product owners, architects, and engineering leadership Key Skills Agile Delivery Scrum & Kanban Technical Delivery Coordination Stakeholder Management Sprint Facilitation API & Integration Delivery Risk & Dependency Management Continuous Improvement Retail & E‑Commerce Delivery Team Coaching DevOps & CI/CD Exposure Jira / Confluence / Azure DevOps Desired Skills Scrum Master E‑Commerce #J-18808-Ljbffr
