Stock Controller Assistant Stock Controller Assistants are the guardians of inventory accuracy at MrPrice, ensuring every item is accounted for, stock levels are optimised, and shrinkage is minimised. Responsibilities Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts, maintaining accurate inventory records in retail systems. Track stock movements (sales, returns, damages, transfers) and identify discrepancies. Use retail management systems to process stock, generate reports, monitor levels, and flag low stock for reordering. Work with Security to minimise shrinkage, investigate stock variances, identify theft or damage patterns, and implement controls. Monitor stock levels, alert management to reorder points, and coordinate with General Workers on stock replenishment. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports, analyse movement patterns, and support management decision‑making. Qualifications Grade12 (Matric) with Mathematics. Computer literacy (Excel and retail systems). Numeracy and attention to detail. Organisational skills. Previous retail or stock experience (advantageous). Inventory management knowledge. Excel proficiency. SAP or other retail system experience.
