Manage full subsidiary accounting for a fast‑growing group An expanding, purpose‑driven retail and hospitality group is seeking a hands‑on Financial Accountant to join their Pretoria team. Reporting directly to the Group CFO, you will take ownership of the full financial management cycle for several smaller subsidiary entities. This role offers direct mentorship from executive leadership and clear opportunities for career progression as the broader business continues its high‑growth trajectory. Key Responsibilities Manage the full accounting function across multiple subsidiary entities, including bookkeeping, management accounts, and bank reconciliations. Prepare and submit all SARS compliance requirements, including VAT, PAYE, and provisional tax returns via eFiling. Track and reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure accurate financial allocation across the group. Manage daily cash flow, maintain fixed asset registers, and process monthly depreciation and general ledger journals. Prepare annual and monthly budgets in collaboration with relevant department heads. Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes, as well as internal and external audit preparations. Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions while supporting ad hoc financial reporting and analysis. Qualifications & Experience Qualified SAIPA, AGA(SA), or part CIMA qualified with 3–6 years of relevant accounting experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance. Hands‑on background in small firm accounting with proven capability in managing a full accounting lifecycle. High proficiency in Xero accounting software and SARS eFiling. Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans (written and spoken). Working knowledge of SimplePay payroll software and advanced MS Excel skills.
