Product Risk Analyst My client, a multinational in the commodity trading space is currently recruiting for an ambitious and analytically minded Product Risk Analyst to join their team in Gauteng. This role is ideal for candidates with 2 - 3 years' experience who are passionate about financial markets, commodities, futures and derivatives, and who want exposure to the commercial side of trading in a fast-paced international environment. You’ll work closely with traders, finance and risk teams to analyse daily P&L movements, monitor trading positions, investigate market variances and support critical risk management processes across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, analysing market movements and understanding how trading activity, pricing, hedging and derivatives interact in real‑world commodity markets. What you’ll be exposed to: Daily P&L and position analysis across commodity trading activities Exposure to futures, derivatives and risk mitigation strategies Understanding how physical and financial commodity markets interact Investigating trading variances and identifying key market drivers Working closely with commercial trading teams and senior stakeholders Exposure to international risk and reporting structures Process improvement, automation and reporting optimisation initiatives Commodity Trading & Risk Management (CTRM) systems and trading workflows We’re looking for candidates with: 2 - 3 years' experience within banking or financial services Exposure to Product Control, Market Risk, Middle Office, Trade Support or Risk Management Experience analysing daily P&L, trading positions or financial reporting A strong interest in commodity trading, metals markets, derivatives and market behaviour Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with data Strong communication skills with the ability to explain findings clearly and concisely High attention to detail and a proactive mindset Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field Honours degree, CFA or FRM studies/candidacy would be advantageous #J-18808-Ljbffr
