Responsible to ensure that all jobs are planned, spares are available. To ensure maximum machine availability by the allocation of artisans and labour for the inspection, repair, servicing, and maintenance of site / buildings / electrical / mechanical equipment, appliances, and machinery. Advises artisans on MOW spares. Provides technical advice to staff, peers and management. Establish maintenance plans specific to individual machines. Ensure that the maintenance strategies in the MMS (Maintenance Management System) is up to date and relevant. Liaise with Maintenance and stores to ensure the relevant and required spare parts are available to service machines. Prepare weekly performance reports by utilizing data on Pragma to prepare Excel reports for the Technical director. Work Planning Co-ordinates with the Maintenance Manager, Production Manager and Production Planning regarding the planning of the work, specific job definitions and parameters, beginning and completion dates, priorities, and method(s) to accomplish the work as well as the allocation of artisans and labour from pool. Work Organisation Ensures that the necessary materials, tools, equipment etc. are available for the job. Liaise with Procurement Department to add identified critical spares to stock. Ensure that stock items (Maintenance related) are on stock and available. Work Inspection Responsible to ensure that all statutory equipment is listed in the MMS (Maintenance Management System) and that the statutory inspections are completed within the requirements as stipulated in the OSHACT. Reports Generate feedback reports when required. Keeps records of equipment used, work done, and time spent, writes technical, statistical or financial reports. Administration The Maintenance Planner is responsible for drawing up, maintaining and completing the following documentation; Preventative Maintenance Master Data Documentation (Job cards, Stock requests etc.) Safety Management Documentation Quality Management Documentation Environmental Management Documentation Purchase and stock requisitions Performance reports Team Creation and Development Motivate maintenance team members through participation in decisions and communication regarding matters that concern them. Develop personnel by improving their knowledge, attitudes and skills through training of the MMS system requirements. Responsible to plan resources (Labour and Material) in order to achieve and maintain the specified targets on availability and utilization. Encourages quality awareness for work among the personnel in his section with appropriate instructions, communications and training in accordance to procedure. Continuously monitor the quality of processes and systems through statistical analysis and initiates and verifies corrective and preventative action. Implement the documentation of the quality management system within his/her control in his/her section. Assists in and gives input to the expense budget and ensure that section expenses are within agreed tolerance limits of budget. Application Criteria Grade 12 with Mathematics Relevant Trade Certificate Leadership qualification will be advantageous Experience Skills Requirement Completed Apprenticeship with a Trade Test pass 4 years of experience in work involving the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical / mechanical components, equipment or systems Experience in a manufacturing environment will be preferred Computer Literacy Experience in Microsoft Windows , Word and Excel Experience in Pragma Experience in SAP with specific relation to the Planned Maintenance and MM modules Do you require help with the registration process? #J-18808-Ljbffr
