The role focuses on stock availability, price accuracy, and supporting margin control within a liquor redistribution environment.Key Responsibilities Procurement & Purchasing Control Process and control purchase orders for liquor and related products in line with approved demand and budgetsRequest, compare, and capture supplier pricing and quotationsEnsure correct pricing, pack sizes, and supplier terms are loaded and maintained on the systemMonitor purchase price changes and escalate variances to managementLiaise with approved liquor suppliers, brand owners, and distributors regarding orders and deliveriesFollow up on outstanding orders and resolve delivery discrepanciesAssist with supplier documentation and basic compliance requirements Stock & Availability Control Support stock planning by ensuring timely replenishment of fast-moving productsAssist in monitoring slow-moving and short-dated stock risksCoordinate with warehouse and sales teams to avoid stock-outs or over-ordering Compliance & Administration Ensure all procurement documentation is accurate, approved, and filedMaintain purchase order, delivery note, and invoice recordsSupport stock counts, audits, and basic procurement reportingAdhere to liquor industry compliance requirements and internal controls Reporting & Systems Capture and maintain accurate procurement data on ERP or accounting systemsPrepare basic procurement and stock reports for review by managementAssist with cost tracking, rebates, and supplier price updatesGood numerical and analytical skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyBasic understanding of procurement and stock control principlesConfident communication with suppliers and internal teamsCompetent in Microsoft Excel and procurement systems Personal Attributes Eager to learn and develop in procurementReliable and well-organisedCost-conscious and detail-focusedAble to work in a fast-paced distribution environment Requirements Matric / Grade 12 (required)BCOM DegreeCertificate or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Business (advantageous)1–2 years’ experience in procurement, buying, or stock administrationExposure to FMCG, liquor wholesale, or distribution environments (advantageous) #J-18808-Ljbffr
