The Financial Accountant will work closely with other finance staff and other departments to ensure accuracy in all financial reporting and compliance with applicable laws. Qualifications and requirements Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting or related field required. At least 2 years of related experience in accounting or finance. SAIPA registered Experience with ERP systems Responsibilities and duties will include: Manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the organisation Prepare and review account reconciliations and journal entries Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Analyse financial transactions and produce meaningful insights Analyse financial discrepancies, make adjustments and provide recommendations on corrective action Compile information for audit purposes Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts Prepare and maintain financial statements, documents, and records Track and report on accounts payable and receivable Ensure compliance with regulations Perform other duties as assigned Liaise with third parties in terms of legal matters Liaise with third parties in terms of review/audit of financial statements Liaise with Insurance in terms of assets Liaise with banks (Guarantees & general operational requirements) Preparation and review of asset sale/purchase agreements Budgets and actuals Annual/monthly Tax planning Weekly cashflow planning Weekly local payments review Foreign payments processing Review of accounting transactions/documents processed by the credit controller Financial statements/Management statements preparation. Attend any SARS audits/reviews Monthly reporting General operational reporting as required & general assistance Implementation and review of internal accounting controls Review and assist with the completion of tender documentation Statutory returns CIPC Annual Return SARS Tax Returns: VAT-201s (Monthly, calculation, review, SARS audits) Income Tax Return IT14 & IT14SD (Preparation and submission) Provisional Tax IRP6 Calculation & Submission Annual Payroll Recon EMP501, IRP5s and Annual Financial Statements reconciliation and review STATS SA Return Local Companies Monthly Group Reporting (Loan Accounts, Assessed Losses, Group investment) Review all group company financials before submitted to auditor/reviewer. Liaise with third parties iro review/audit of the groups financial statements. Assistance with group tax planning. General operational reporting as required & general assistance.
