Santam Product Management is looking to recruit an Technical Analyst to provide actuarial and data analytics support for the conceptualisation, development and maintenance of client value propositions. This role invites a driven, technically competent and highly creative individual to help shape the future suite of Santam insurance offerings. This is a permanent opportunity based in either Western Cape or Gauteng. What will you do? Loyalty and Rewards Conceptualise, model, develop and manage a loyalty and rewards programme. Collaborate with group stakeholders to ensure the rewards programme aligns with the product portfolio strategy, business unit strategy and group-wide rewards strategy. Actuarial Provide actuarial expertise and support to the Head of Product Strategy on all product management initiatives. Conduct actuarial and statistical analyses related to product pricing, reserving and risk assessment. Ensure compliance with relevant insurance regulations and actuarial standards. Data Analytics Develop and manage a Product Management dashboard that tracks lead and lagging indicators of product utility, product performance, product competitiveness and client sentiment. Analyse product performance metrics, marketing campaign results and growth initiatives to inform data-driven decision making on products. Support product managers with insights derived from data to innovate and improve products in a manner that aligns with future market trends and the business unit strategy. Qualification and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics. Minimun of 5+ year experience in an Actuarial/Statistic/Data Analyst role. Proficient in actuarial techniques including pricing, reserving, risk modelling, and statistical analysis. Skills in financial modelling, data manipulation, and predictive analytics to assess product and campaign effectiveness. Competent in designing and managing rewards programme metrics and actuarial valuation of loyalty schemes. A proactive and innovative product manager, with a passion to develop value propositions that delight our clients and future-proof the business. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills to translate complex data into actionable business insights. Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey technical actuarial concepts to non-actuarial stakeholders. Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally with underwriting, marketing, operations and I.T. development teams. Meticulous and committed to accuracy and compliance in actuarial analysis and reporting. Adaptable and willing to experiment continuously to unlock new opportunities for value creation. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage projects effectively.
