Financial Accountant job vacancy in Somerset West. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day financial accounting functions, including VAT, PAYE, income tax, and SARS submissions. Maintain accurate financial records, including asset registers, accounts payable, and general ledger processes. Support full accounting operations including payroll-related compliance and statutory reporting. Handle SARS e-filing and ensure ongoing tax compliance. Assist with preparation of financial reports and management accounts. Manage and improve financial processes, systems, and internal controls. Work independently to plan, prioritise, and execute accounting tasks. Support decision-making through accurate financial analysis and reporting. Engage with clients, suppliers, and internal teams in both Afrikaans and English. Identify and implement process improvements and operational efficiencies. Contribute to business operations beyond traditional accounting functions as required. Requirements: 3–5 years’ broad-based accounting experience (including VAT, PAYE, SARS, income tax, and financial administration). Relevant Accounting Diploma or BCom Accounting degree (advantageous). SAIPA or SAICA registration or in progress (advantageous). Strong understanding of accounting principles and statutory compliance requirements. Experience with SARS e-filing and financial reporting processes. Strong proficiency in accounting systems and general technology tools. Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively. Strong communication skills in both Afrikaans and English. High attention to detail and strong analytical ability.
