Job Summary The role is responsible for strategic and operational financial leadership across farming, packing, export, and international entities, ensuring robust financial control, compliance, reporting accuracy, and commercially focused insight to support growth and profitability. This is a senior leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, hands-on operational involvement, and the ability to partner closely with shareholders, executives, and external stakeholders. Core Responsibilities and Duties Financial Reporting & Predictive Analysis Financial Planning & Capital Management Compliance , Audit & Internal Controls People Management Creditors Management Reconciliations & Financial Integrity Controls, Policy & Compliance Costing, Inventory & Profitability Analysis Grower Payments Retailer credit & Receivables Margin & FX Management Cash Flow & Forecasting Qualifications & Relevant Experience Essential (non-negotiable) CA(SA) or BCom (Accounting/Finance) with completed articles (SAIPA, SAICA/CIMA); 8-10 years experience in Finance; including at least 3–5 years in a senior financial management role within the fresh produce export industry ; Strong understanding of export finance, including consignment/FOB sales accounting, producer payments and multi-currency transactions; Proven experience within fresh produce, agricultural or export trading environments; Strong working knowledge of export and financial systems such as Palbroker, Paltrack, QX, Microsoft Dynamics or similar industry-related systems. Knowledge & Skills Required Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans); Good inter-personal skills with a proven ability to build relationships and manage a team; Strong administrative and time management skills; Ability to take initiative; Good computer skills (MS Office, Office 365 Outlook, Excel and Xero, Power BI, SQL); Good attention to detail, well organized and structured; Ability to coach and train a team; Hardworking; Self-motivated; Innovative; Can-do-will-do attitude; Ability to work independently; Ability to work under pressure within time constraints.
