Job Purpose Support the SHE Coordinator by implementing and maintaining an effective SHE management system. Reduce occupational health and safety risk, ensure compliance with Unilever policy, standards and regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement. Main Responsibilities Compile and revise SHE standards and procedures to ensure compliance with UL SHE standards. Maintain a database of standard operating procedures and all legislation related to SHE matters. Maintain a database of remedial actions from accident reports, internal & external audits, and safety inspections. Manage the site’s central database of all statutory records. Participate in safety inspections, HAZOP studies and Management of Change discussions. Interpret SHE legal requirements and ensure compliance. Formulate and prepare legal appointments under the country-specific OHS Act and Regulations. Compile site emergency plans and train personnel to exercise these plans. Keep SHE communication boards up to date. Compile and present relevant SHE training and awareness programs using various tools/media (e.g., safety induction). Review and source course content for safety and health related courses. Assist with the preparation and monitoring of KPIs related to annual, monthly and quarterly SHE performance review reporting. Manage Contractor SHE compliance and follow up on non‑conformances. Drive the identification of and implementation of preventative measures against SHE (including occupational health) hazards. Organise occupational hygiene environmental surveys in accordance with legal requirements. Conduct internal/departmental SHE audits, reports and action plans. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the SHE work area. Qualifications & Experience BTech in any engineering discipline, safety or environmental sciences. 3‑5 years experience in an engineering trade. Knowledge of the OHS Act and the Compensation for Occupational Injury and Disease Act. Knowledge and experience in first aid, fire fighting procedures, equipment and loss control. Certificate in first aid, fire fighting or a related discipline. Proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), SAP and spreadsheet management. Skills Proven problem‑solving skills. Strong communication and facilitation abilities. Good planning and time‑management skills. Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence others.
