Oversee maintenance and repairs of allcompany trucks and transport vehicles. Manage servicing, repairs, and preventativemaintenance of the processing equipment and associated machinery. Ensure all equipment is in safe, reliableworking condition at all times. Maintain detailed service and repair recordsfor all vehicles and machinery. Develop and implement preventativemaintenance schedules for trucks and plant equipment. Minimise breakdowns and downtime throughproactive planning. Monitor and track equipment performance andidentify recurring issues. Supervise daily workshop activities andworkflow. Allocate tasks to mechanics, technicians, andworkshop staff. Ensure work is completed efficiently, withindeadlines, and to quality standards. Maintain a clean, organised, and safeworkshop environment. Supervise, train, and develop workshop staff. Manage attendance, discipline, andperformance of workshop employees. Ensure staff comply with company policies andsafety procedures. Ensure compliance with all health and safetyregulations. Enforce safe working practices, especiallywhen working with heavy machinery and processing equipment. Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings. Ensure proper use of PPE at all times. Monitor workshop expenses, including parts,labour, and external services. Control costs without compromising safetyorquality. Source and procure parts and services atcompetitive prices. Manage contractors and quotes Manage and respond to breakdowns of trucksand plant equipment. Ensure quick turnaround times to minimiseoperational disruptions. Coordinate external service providers whenrequired. Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and complywith legal requirements. Maintain records for inspections, licences, and compliance audits. Prepare reports on workshop performance,downtime, and maintenance costs. Requirements Proven experience as a Workshop Manager orsimilar role. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy-dutytrucks, industrial machinery and hydraulics. Good leadership and staff management skills. Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
