Job Responsibilities:\*\* \* Managing and maintaining optimal stock levels for all theatre consumables and equipment, including ordering, receiving, unpacking, and rotating stock. \* Conducting regular stock counts, reconciling discrepancies, and investigating variances. \* Implementing and maintaining an efficient inventory management system, including accurate data entry and reporting. \* Ensuring all theatre equipment is clean, in good working order, and readily available for use, including coordinating repairs and maintenance with relevant departments. \* Performing regular checks on expiry dates of sterile stock and rotating stock accordingly. \* Maintaining accurate records of stock movement, equipment usage, and maintenance activities. \* Collaborating with theatre staff, procurement, and other departments to anticipate needs and optimize stock holding. \* Adhering to all Netcare Hospitals' policies and procedures regarding stock control, infection control, and safety. \* Assisting with the implementation of new stock control systems or procedures. \* Identifying and reporting any issues related to stock shortages, expired items, or equipment malfunction. Job Qualifications:\*\* \* Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent qualification is essential. \* Previous experience in stock control or inventory management, preferably within a healthcare or theatre environment. \* Knowledge of medical and surgical consumables and equipment is highly advantageous. \* Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). \* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping. \* Excellent organisational and time management skills. \* Ability to work independently and as part of a team. \* Good communication and interpersonal skills. \* Physical ability to lift and move stock as required. \* Commitment to upholding Netcare Hospitals' values and quality standards.#J-18808-Ljbffr
