Duties Meticulous in all aspects of Managing the Guiding Department Managing; Overseeing and Disciplining Staff in the Guiding Department Staff training and development All administrative duties pertaining to the Guiding Department Daily Game Drives & Bush walks Hosting Duties Assistance around the lodge in other departments if needed Providing sound leadership in the Rangers department to ensure that all guests have an exceptional and value-added safari experience during all game drives. Ensuring all field guides perform their duties in a manner that fully complies with legislation pertaining to FGASA, DEAT and the reserve that we operate in. Ensure the company’s ethos and culture is maintained in the Rangers department. Requirements Grade 12 FGASA Level 2 (NQF Level 4) essential DEAT registered Valid ARH, First Aid and PDP Back-up or Lead Trails Minimum 2 years’ experience in a 4 / 5* Big-5 environment as a Head or Assistant Head Guide Wildlife photography experience would be a bonus A passion to train / mentor others in the guiding team High standards of service excellence and a passion for the industry Highly self‑motivated and self‑directed Comfortable assuming ownership for their role in the business Naturally intuitive, with a collaborative working style Passionate about sustainability and conservation #J-18808-Ljbffr
