Key Responsibilities:Proactively identify and secure new customers within mining and surface railrelated sectors Travel to customer sites to present, demonstrate, and promote products and services Arrange meetings, demonstrations, and presentations with qualified prospects and senior sales or technical stakeholders Prepare and present customer proposals and support tender submissions Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure effective lead handover and customer onboarding Serve as a key point of contact and relationship manager for assigned customers Monitor competitor activity, industry trends, infrastructure developments, and upcoming projects or tenders Identify and develop new market segments and growth opportunities Drive consistent and profitable sales growth through customer acquisition and account expansion Compile and submit regular sales and activity reports Job Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile):57 years experience in external technical sales or business development Exposure to the mining or rail industry is advantageous Willingness and ability to travel extensively within South Africa and other African regions Flexible approach to working hours Knowledge of export procedures within sub-Saharan Africa and familiarity with continental financial instruments (advantageous) Strong ability to explain technical product features clearly to customers Excellent written and verbal communication skills Performance-driven with a strong results orientation Proven cold-calling, prospecting, and networking capability Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant digital and social media platforms If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
