Overview JOB TITLE: Senior Technician DEPARTMENT: Commercial Operations (CRT) REPORTING TO: Field Service Team Leader LOCATION: Johannesburg ADDITIONAL INFO: Must be medically fit • Valid Driver’s License is essential • Willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, overtime and standby. Purpose of Position The prime objective is to ensure that all site equipment and vehicles are fully operational and available. The role is responsible for ensuring that daily reconciliations are completed and submitted timeously. That all service and maintenance calls are logged, monitored and completed within agreed SLA, and that fuel dispensing into vehicles is conducted strictly in accordance with approved procedures and service level requirements. Ensuring uptime of all vehicles and equipment aligned with KPIs. Key Responsibilities Complete Installation, checklists, preventative and reactive maintenance as per relevant KPI. Complete quality control and standard work inspections as per relevant KPI. Facilitate the safe delivery of product on site and check the quantities of product delivered. Escalate when full tanker delivery cannot fit into the tank (Left On Board) as per SOP. Follow the SOP for receiving deliveries. Escalate when full tanker delivery cannot fit into the tank. Ensure all calls are completed within SLA and are closed on time in the system. Resolve calls on first time of attendance. Provide detailed feedback to the office and communicate effectively. Oversee the field and the junior technicians and pump attendants. Conduct audits on all the field work. Provide support and share technical knowledge with fellow team members by providing on the job training to junior and assistant technicians. Ensure van stock is maintained; used stock is always booked out of the van stock. Oversee the field and the junior technicians, provide support to other team members. Capture manual overrides. Report faulty equipment and issues on site. General maintenance and inspection of the site fuelling architecture. Adhere to all HSSE requirements, report any issues and use required PPE at all times. Report near missed and incidents. Take pump meter readings, tank level readings and record deliveries and submit daily recon sheet. Investigate tank and meter variances. Ensure that quality of work done is always exceptional and high level of professionalism is maintained. General Administration of Fuel Records. High level of professionalism is maintained at 100% Always arrive on site on time at 100% HSSE compliance of all the Field work at 100%. 100% Accuracy of information on the Job card and all paperwork Stock losses and unrecorded stock movements to be below threshold Personal Qualifications & Experience Education/achievements Matric with at least N3 in electrical, Mechanical or electronics engineering N6 or higher in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics Engineering Experience/Knowledge Minimum 3 year’s relevant industry related experience. At least 3 years working experience as a Field technician.
